Journal of Language and Linguistics Volume 1 Number 4 2002 ISSN 1475 - 8989

Issue four of volume one of Journal of Language and Linguistics completes the first volume, and the first year of work for the JLL Project. Our thanks are due to all those who have made this happen, particularly to our authors and book reviewers, and to our review panel. Journal of Language and Linguistics has been able to publish contributions in a wide range of topics in linguistics from authors located in many countries. This breadth is seen as a particular strength of the project, enabling us to select the best from among the work produced. The completed work of volume one will shortly be made available in a paper-based format, with further details appearing soon on this site. A new launch for the JLL Project is the publication of a new journal title, Journal of Language and Literature, as a companion to Journal of Language and Linguistics. The first issue will appear in November 2002. Forthcoming is Journal of Language and Learning, provisionally scheduled for March 2003. Submission of articles and book reviews for consideration by all three of these journals is sought. The JLL Project is developing a new area of publication: refereed, paper-based publication of academic books in linguistics, literature and language learning. Potential authors are invited to contact the editors to discuss their work for publication in the series Studies in Language and Linguistics to be published by Peter Lang AG. Karl A.
